How science meets spirituality to co-create the New Age

How science meets spirituality to co-create the New Age

Being in the lap of nature is itself a tranquil experience. Nature has always awe-inspired great scientists, artist, poets, writers, which are evident in our history of Indian culture. The proof is strewn in the ancient and Vedic literature, in our mythological stories, in our temple architecture, and our Vedic science and mathematics. Prakriti or Nature has a lot to offer us only if we become ready to receive it. So observation and sense of perception are the faculties which are to be honed to extract the essence of life. Nature gradually unveils its secret to the entity who perceives with his inner faculties in tune with the frequency of The universe.

Ancient Indian culture was rich in its scientific, mathematical, literary skills. So much so that the western world today recognises and is inspired from these age-old traditions and culture. In the scientific field we see the its influence in quantum physics, fractals and chaos theory with the latest growing interest in the science in Consciousness or be it in the tensegrity structures originating from our sacred geometry. Let us delve into the matter as to how we perceive things helps us unfold the mystery of nature and the underlying deep, profound meaning it conveys to enrich our lives.

The way we perceive everything transforms when we look within. In today’s world of technological disruption and consumerism, we are pulled by forces outward which lure us to comfort and pleasure. But still, we thirst for something more. We are not satisfied by success in our career, all our material comfort cannot give us peace of mind, so we all long for something more as our void remains in our heart and our thirst cannot be quenched in the pursuit of happiness outside.

That is the point when we turn our attention inside. Our present state of the world wherein one hand we have developed and grown in scientific and technological advances so much so that we are indulging in the dream of creating conscious machines with advancement in artificial intelligence, on the other hand, people all over the world people are lacking in the peace and bliss of mind and are searching for that something more. As a result, more and more people all over the world are turning inside, practicing yoga, to quench their thirst. Actually, in our limited form, we are all seeking the unlimited. Indian culture of the Vedic times which were hidden in the ashrams of yogis previously have spread throughout the world today. Even great scientists like Einstein, Heisenberg, Nikola Tesla were inspired by our Vedic science. Thus Quantum Physics took shape and declared that the ground of our being is continuous and are residing in a wave of possibilities. Mind and Consciousness are continuous and there is a web which binds each of us in a bond as we are all part of the same only one whole. Consciousness is the ground of our being. Let’s take a look at this Vedic hymn.

 पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदं पूर्णात्पुर्णमुदच्यते
पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते
 शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः

Om Puurnnam-Adah Puurnnam-Idam Puurnnaat-Purnnam-Udacyate
Puurnnasya Puurnnam-Aadaaya Puurnnam-Eva-Avashissyate ||
Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||

Meaning:

1. Om, That (Outer World) is Purna (Full with Divine Consciousness); This (Inner World) is also Purna (Full with Divine Consciousness); From Purna comes Purna (From the Fullness of Divine Consciousness the World is manifested),

2. Taking Purna from Purna, Purna Indeed Remains (Because Divine Consciousness is Non-Dual and Infinite).

3. Om Peace, Peace, Peace.

This verse is similar in meaning to “ As above so below” and “ Äs inside so outside”. Öur outer world or environment is a reflection of our inner world. Hence the understanding of this phenomena is pertinent to changing our outer world of misery and suffering. Transformation of our inner world will lead to the transformation of our outer world, individually as well as collectively as our Vedic sages had the wisdom to understand that we are all interconnected and part of a whole. Any change in the consciousness or thinking of a single person will affect the collective consciousness of the society and world at large. For nature, rejoices in dependence. It is when we individually take responsibility of our independence, that we can affect a larger good and well being in society as we all are in dependence and are connected as interdependent entities in the web of life the “Indras net.”

This echoes in the words of modern science as put up by Schrodinger.

“This life of yours which you are living is not merely a piece of this entire existence, but in a certain sense the whole; only this whole is not so constituted that it can be surveyed in one single glance. This, as we know, is what the Brahmins [wise men or priests in the Vedic tradition] express in that sacred, mystic formula which is yet really so simple and so clear; tat tvam asi, this is you. Or, again, in such words as “I am in the east and  the west, I am above and below, I am this entire world.” –

Let us delve further to understand how our individual thinking, personality, actions have a bearing on the future of the earth. Are we in the hands of destiny, the creator or are we co-creators of this earth and its environment be it social, economic, political or spiritual.

Fractal Consciousness

A fractal is a never-ending pattern. Fractals are infinitely complex patterns that are self-similar across different scales. They are created by repeating a simple process over and over in an ongoing feedback loop. Driven by recursion, fractals are images of dynamic systems – the pictures of chaos. Geometrically, they exist in between our familiar dimensions. Fractal patterns are extremely familiar since nature is full of fractals. For instance: trees, rivers, coastlines, mountains, clouds, seashells, hurricanes, broccoli etc.

Fractals are the building blocks of modern physic’s Chaos theory which strives to explain the unpredictable nature of whole systems. It is finding an implicate order in an apparent disorder.

Considering the Vedic civilization’s deep understanding of the self-similarity between macro and microcosm and its gnosis of mathematics and measurement, it is found that the Fibonacci sequence is one of the many enduring gifts ancient India has given the world. Knowledge of the Golden Ratio is traced back to the Veda (thought to be at least 5000 years old) and somewhat more recently to the work of Pingala (450 – 200 BCE), a Sanskrit grammarian who referred to the Fibonacci sequence as matrameru, translated as ‘mountain of cadence.’ Meru means mountain. And matra, mean not simply cadence (measure of movement or rhythmical flow) in poetic or spoken verse, but also a measure of any kind (time, space, number, distance), a particle, an atom, a degree of a circle, or a minute portion. It also means ‘the full measure of anything, the whole or totality’ and ‘mother’.

The ratio 1:1.618 is phi or the golden ratio which is found all over the cosmos. Stick out your forefinger. The ratio from the first two bones is 1:1.618. Now the ratio between the 2nd middle bone and the third bone terminating at the knuckle is also 1:1.618.  The ration from your navel to the top of your head and bottom of your feet is also 1:1.618. This is called the Fibonacci Ratio. It can be found in branching of trees, spiral galaxies etc..

In the Vedic civilization, the infinite replication of the macrocosm in microcosmic forms was understood as a whole, divinely orchestrated, harmonic perfection. The minute portion of the whole was understood as an individual expression of the whole and inseparable from the whole … in a sense, unbreakable. Yet the word modern man has adopted a word for these minute portions or repetitions of the whole – ‘fractal’ – is derived from fractus, meaning broken, fractured.

Fractals are found in sacred geometry, the flower of life the Sri Yantra, Merkeba and different mandalas. They are used for focussing and meditating as smaller the part, the greater the energy concentrated which is capable of reaching the whole.

Buddhism uses a similar image to describe the interconnectedness of all phenomena. It is called Indra’s Net. When Indra fashioned the world, he made it as a web, and at every knot in the web is tied a pearl. Everything that exists, or has ever existed, every idea that can be thought about, every datum that is true—every dharma, in the language of Indian philosophy—is a pearl in Indra’s net. Not only is every pearl tied to every other pearl by virtue of the web on which they hang, but on the surface of every pearl is reflected every other jewel on the net. Everything that exists in Indra’s web implies all else that exists.

According to Allan Watts,

“Imagine a multidimensional spider’s web in the early morning covered with dew drops. And every dew drop contains the reflection of all the other dew drops. And, in each reflected dewdrop, the reflections of all the other dew drops in that reflection. And so ad infinitum. That is the Buddhist conception of the universe in an image”.

Long before the existence of the hologram, the jeweled net is an excellent description of the special characteristic of holograms: that every point of the hologram contains information regarding all other points. This reflective nature of the jewels is an obvious reference to this.

This kind of analogy has been suggested by science as a theory for an essential characteristic of the cosmos, as well as the functioning of the human brain, as beautifully described in The Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot. The jewels in Indra’s net are individual consciousness(ess) which are all interconnected and possess the same quality as the universal consciousness.

Our consciousness is pervading everything. The limited consciousness in all human beings affects the universal consciousness. So our consciousness is also fractal in nature and is expanding. Now let’s see how the nature of individual consciousness affects the whole or universal consciousness.

Douglas Ingber in a Scientific American article said:

“Despite centuries of study, researchers still know relatively little about the forces that guide atoms to self-assemble into molecules. They know even less about how groups of molecules join together to create living cells and tissues. Over the past two decades, however, I have discovered and explored an intriguing and seemingly fundamental aspect of self-assembly. An astoundingly wide variety of natural systems, including carbon atoms, water molecules, proteins, viruses, cells, tissues and even humans and other living creatures, are constructed using a common form of architecture known as Tensigrity.”

Holographic universe and   fractals of consciousness

Tensegrity is the term coined by Buck Minster Fuller. Tension and integrity which holds together any dynamic system. This force is in human beings as fascia which holds the human beings upright against gravity. This force is at play in the Indras net or the field of consciousness which is a dynamic field always in-formation.

Although he never refused to apply tensegrity to technical fields, in his opinion tensegrity was the base of the Universe: both, macrocosm and microcosm, the solar systems and the atoms, were structured following the tensegrity principles. In his book Synergetics, he wrote: “All structures, properly understood, from the solar system to the atom, are tensegrity structures. The universe is “omnitensional integrity” .“This structural scheme of islanded spheres of compression, which are only mass-attractively cohered, also characterizes the atomic nucleus’s structural integrities. Tensegrity discoveries introduce new and very different kinds of structural principles which seem to be those governing all structuring of Universe, both macrocosmic and microcosmic.” “I simply found that the Universe is compressionally discontinuous and only tensionally continuous. The structural integrity of the Universe is tensional as Kepler discovered. I gave this phenomena the name “tensegrity.” (Fuller, 1982)

The same voice is echoed by one more  great physicist Ervin Laszlo

According to Ervin Laszlo,

“the coherence of the atom and the galaxies is the same coherence that keeps living cells together, cooperating to form life. When a complex system made up of many interacting parts is operating, sometimes an unexpected jump to a new level of complex organization happens. Our human body is made up of many such levels, each formed by another jump in complexity. Our lowest level of the cell jumps up a level to body tissue, to a body organ, to body system and to the whole body. We are therefore formed with many onion skin like levels that all cooperate in complex ways to make one whole human being. It is really amazing how it all fits together.”

At the same time, in the human realm of consciousness, we are – as far as we know – the only creatures able to contemplate who we are, why we are here and how we fit into the universe. This coherence also allows evolution to happen and that has enabled us to evolve.

Ervin Laszlo presents a theory that helps to tie both together. He proposes that the quantum vacuum – which we know contains all the information of our history from the Big Bang to now – is also consciousness. Everything in the universe, therefore, has consciousness; from a pebble to a tree, to a cloud, to a person.

Ervin Laszlo equates this quantum vacuum with the Akashic Field of ancient Hindu spiritual tradition.

“The Hindu says the Akashic record is a field from which all the universe is formed and which holds all that ever was, is or will be. The Hindu also say that the Big Bang that started the universe, and the big crunch that will happen when the universe goes into reverse and collapses back into itself, is only a part of many cycles of universes, just like ours, appearing and disappearing, just like the subatomic particles in our world.”

According to Vedantists, the belief about cycles is as follows: All matter throughout the universe is the outcome of one primal matter called Âkâsha; and all force, whether gravitation, attraction or repulsion, or life, is the outcome of one primal force called Prâna. Prana acting on Akasha is creating or projecting the universe. At the beginning of a cycle, Akasha is motionless, unmanifested. Then Prana begins to act, more and more, creating grosser and grosser forms out of Akasha — plants, animals, men, stars, and so on. After an incalculable time, this evolution ceases and involution begins, everything being resolved back through finer and finer forms into the original Akasha and Prana when a new cycle follows. Now there is something beyond Akasha and Prana. Both can be resolved into a third thing called Mahat — the Cosmic Mind. This Cosmic Mind does not create Akasha and Prana but changes itself into them. Beyond the Mahat is the Avyakta the unmanifested Brahman. In Sankhya philosophy, Mahat is the term used to denote “cosmic mind” or “universal mind.” It is the first principle that is derived from Avyakta. It is the first principle that is manifested out of the unmanifested  Avyakta. From Mahat comes Ahankara. From Sattvic Ahankara comes to mind; from Rajasic Ahankara comes Prana; from Tamasic Ahankara, Tanmatras; from Tanmatras, gross elements; from gross elements, the gross universe. The mind is no other than Ahankara, the idea of ‘I’. It is, indeed, difficult to eschew this idea of ‘I’. Mind always attaches itself to something objective (Sthula). It cannot stand by itself. It is only this mind that asserts itself as ‘I’ in this body. The idea of ‘I’ is the seed of the tree of mind. The sprout which first springs up from this seed of Ahankara is Buddhi. From this sprout, the ramifying branches called Sankalpas have their origin.”

All and everything that is happening at the individual, as well as the collective level, is being recorded in the Akashic field. So Akashic records are in- formation always. Thus it becomes the responsibility of each individual to act accordingly so that the level of collective consciousness rises.

Tesla understood the great power of Zero Point Field or Akasha or Ether: the power of space between the electrons and the nucleus.

So it is evident that a change in an individual affects a change in our collective consciousness or society. This is proved by the phenomenon of nonlocality and quantum entanglement in Quantum physics.

Several mahā-vākyas, or great sayings, indicate what the principle of Brahman or our Consciousness is..

We are the Co-Creator of The New age: The Golden Age

Ancient Egyptians, Maya, Hopi, Laika and Inca elders understood the Great Central Sun to be a portal that redirects energy from the Galactic Center. With advanced knowledge of astronomy and astrology, these ancient cultures noted a perfect alignment of the Sun and Earth every 26,000 years. This happened on December 21, 2012. The Hindus divided this 26,000-year cycle into four Yugas: Kali, Dvapara, Treta and Satya; the ancient Greeks into four Ages: Iron, Bronze, Silver and Golden. Modern astrologers refer to this 26,000-year cycle as the Precession of the Equinoxes whereby the Earth travels backwards through the entire 12 signs of the Zodiac. Every 2,100 years we enter a new Zodiac Age. The 24-hour cycle of day and night, the 365-day cycle of the seasons, 2,100-year cycle of zodiac ages and the 26,000-year precession of the equinoxes are all caused by the Earth’s spins on its axis in relation to the sun. Each cycle an ongoing evolution of consciousness as we ‘fall asleep’ and ‘awaken’ from night to day, winter to summer and equinox to equinox.

One complete 26,000-year cycle of the equinoxes transition us through the dark ages and into ages of spiritual enlightenment.

The Golden Age of Light or the Age of Aquarius refers to the transition to the fifth dimension where dreams become a reality, souls are unlimited, manifestations are instantaneous and experiences are perpetual freedom. What is happening now, with the help of stabilizing forces, is the transformation of our planet—Earth’s rejuvenation and return to balance—reaching completion in the Golden Age.

This 2012 event was huge on so many levels. It also marked the completion of a 26,000-year solar cycle of our sun orbiting around the Pleiades. This was an event that the Mayans and many other ancient tribes around the planet have foreseen happening for hundreds of years! Scientists have also found that Earth is also physically passing through the central core of a massive photon belt floating through our solar system.

Being inside this core of the photon belt and in cosmic alignment with the centre of the milky way, is what is physically causing this higher vibration to reach our planet, creating a massive shift to higher consciousness, so we can easily move from 3D into the 4th and 5th dimensions. Scientists have also said that our planet is reaching closer towards a “zero point” in our magnetic field, which is causing everything to speed up. Science and spirituality will truly become one and you will have a full and total understanding of how it all works as you will be merged with the oneness of all things.

First of all, dimensions are not places or locations; they’re levels of consciousness that vibrate at a certain rate. There exist numerous dimensions; the fourth and fifth are simply higher than the one we’ve been living in. Ascension into even higher dimensions will continue even after we’ve reached the fifth. Each dimension vibrates at a higher rate than the one below. We experience more freedom, greater power, and more opportunity to create reality. The fourth dimension is the  “bridge” we’re all pretty much on now and will be for a relatively short period of time. In traveling through the Fourth Dimension, we are preparing ourselves for the Fifth. We can know we’re experiencing the Fourth Dimension when we have moments of spiritual awakening and experiences of heart opening. Everything within and around us feels lighter, less rigid. Manifestation is much faster in the Fourth Dimension. In general, we’re experiencing joy, love and gratitude.

The vibrations of Earth’s entirety will be LOVE in the fifth dimension. LOVE, which is the same energy as LIGHT but simply expressed differently, is the pure essence of Source, the ultimate power in the Cosmos. This energy is the composition of souls and the key to opening hearts and illumining minds, and it is flowing more abundantly on Earth than ever before. Exciting new spiritual energies will be coming into the planet and influencing specific areas, and economic, political, and climatic shifts are also predicted to occur. Renowned cosmic scholar Diana Cooper includes a time frame for this massive transition that is anticipated to last until Earth moves into the fifth-dimensional frequency in 2032.

History tells us that it was Swami Dayananda Saraswati, who, seeking to reform Hindu religion and Hindu society first propounded the idea of a Vedic Golden Age and asked Hindus to ‘return to the Vedas’. Thus, he spoke of a Golden Age in which the Aryans of the Vedic era are presented as the chosen people to whom God revealed the perfect knowledge of the Vedas. He further argued that, the Vedas are the sources of all knowledge and that it is consistent with modern science. Aurobindo endorsed the view of Swami Dayananda and stated that the Vedas contain truths of science as well as religion.

In the Rig Veda there are 5 hymns constituting an important dialogue between Lord Indra and Sage Agastya that reflects the significance of traversing the evolutionary path of consciousness, that seems to serve as a crucial pre-requisite to understanding the true nature of the Supreme Absolute Reality (God).

Indra says-“that which is beyond time and space (God) cannot be known by that which is in time and space” (Agastya and other mortals like us).

Indra goes on to explain that it is the progressive transcendence (of ego-consciousness) through divine activities that will take a mortal towards the immortal truth. Sage Agastya thenceforth realizes his folly, surrenders his will to Indra and goes on to execute his mandated activities through Indra.

The crux of this story is that the time is ripe now to transcend our ego consciousness and trace our path back to the universal consciousness. This traversing back to our source or God head is called “Reversal of Consciousness” by The Mother of Pondicherry.

We can find an upsurge of spiritual energy on the planet amongst the technological disruptions. Things and scenario are changing very fast. More and more people satiated by materialistic pleasure are now in pursuit of Yoga the union of the soul with the universal consciousness. When we touch this higher dimension a transformation occurs. The task before us is huge. As we are the co-creators of this new Earth.

The Evolutionary Spiral and Wheel of Co-creation graphic tells the story of our evolution from Universal Intelligence – the field of infinite possibilities; from the origin of the Universe through the formation of Energy, Matter, Earth, Life, Animal Life, Human Life and now us, going around our turn on the Spiral. The Core of the Spiral represents Universal Intelligence, the Impulse of Evolution within us, that sense of Spirit arising in each of our hearts as our own impulse to create. We feel resonance with the global communion of pioneering souls as we discover the new “Planetary DNA,” divining the design of evolution.

The Wheel of Co-creation describes our current turn on the Spiral. We identify Golden Innovations that work, joining with Global Co-creators and each other in every field and function that are symbolized by the various sectors of the Wheel. The same mysterious process that co-ordinates atom with atom and cell with cell is co-ordinating us within the Wheel. The Wheel of Cocreation is not static – each of us is turning the Wheel by everything we do.

The wheel of co-creation

The Wheel of Co-creation is a potent representation of the whole-system shift. If you look carefully into the Wheel you will see twelve societal sectors arranged in a wheel-like structure according to the so-called “12 around 1” model; we believe these twelve areas comprise the full list of the basic functions of any community. The “12 around 1” principle is considered to be a model of stability in nature and is the basis of the concept of “tensegrity” pioneered by Buckminster Fuller. Thus, the sectors or functions represented by the Wheel provide us with a reliable and integrative model for our collective transformation—twelve divisions of the positive fluctuations needed to create a leap to social synergy. It is our responsibility now to activate the Wheel of Co-creation—our turn on the Spiral. When the Wheel of Co-creation is fully activated, we will see the new world that is already arising in our midst. It will offer us a coherent picture of humanity as well as our whole planetary system as a living organism. It will tell us where the problems are, who is working to solve them, and where we can find the needed innovations— all organic elements of a living, holistic system of relationships. It will provide for us the new news of who we are becoming in such a way as to continually activate our potential to participate. As we are each a participant in the co-creation of a new world, every person who awakens will cause a ripple effect across the consciousness of the planet that will unavoidably awaken and inspire others. Ultimately it will raise global consciousness, as we come together to empower ourselves and each other to live at our collective highest potential.
